I am Ed

I am an Asperger.

I have to start with that because it might make you understand why certain things happen here or don't happen.

You'll rarely hear my voice, and you won't see me very often either.

I have no filter and therefore always speak my truth whether it is shocking, hurtful or not.

Words don't mean the same thing to you as they do to me.

The word that might cause us a problem here is Artist.

Let's make that clear to everyone.

A musician is not an artist to me, any more than a sound engineer or other technician works in an artistic environment.

Another thing that could pose a problem is my Armenian origins and where I live.

Which basically means that me and the West, their values (if they exist) are not mine.

I have been living in Thailand for 11 years.

Please Farangs don't talk to me about sex. Ok. It's not my Thailand. Ok...

I live in a Buddhist country fed and hosted by priests.

I'm their guest just like you here.

Which basically means either I accept their rules or I leave.

So, you can ask me, talk to me about anything if you're an Artist or understand the term.

Disagree with me, I hope.

On the other hand, you don't say thank you, don't answer or ignore anyone...

I'll fire you.

I'm not a blogger.

Nor a YouTuber.

I don't belong to the iOS community (if it exists).

I don't read manuals or App Store descriptions.

I've been a professional since I was 17, without ever having taken a lesson in guitar, bass, drums, piano or sitar, which are my main instruments.

I don't watch the videos of your favorite bloggers or just to make sure I'm doing the opposite of everything they say.

So, as you may have gathered, I have no respect for these App vendors.

At 17 I studied photography at Louis Lumière. Unfortunately, I had to stop 2 years later when I signed with Sony. (Black Buddha Saraband).

Instead of going into a studio to record Techno Hippies, I took the money and had one built.

BBS Studio. A commercial studio where all Boucherie Productions albums were recorded and mixed. Other clients included: EMI, Universal, Sony, 13 Bis Record...

Didier Lemarchand, Black Buddha's sound engineer, was in charge and was my teacher.

At the age of 30, I broke Black Buddha and became an audio editor (Air, Noir Désir, Nilda Fernández, Arno, etc.).

I continued this job until I moved to Thailand.

At the same time, I was in charge of Protools and Macs for recording studios such as Davoult, Guillaume Tell, as well as numerous Artists (Secteur A, David Finisher, Low Fi, Air,...).

Then I became an artistic producer (Cheb Mani, No Man's Land, Agoria, Muriel Moreno, etc.).

I've never stopped composing for production companies or artists (TF1, EMI, Universal, etc.).

From 2016 to 2022 I was the volunteer marauder coordinator for Emmaus and Les Robin's des Rues (associations that care for the homeless) in addition to my work as a producer.

In 2022, I'll either leave France or kill someone, as I can't stand the Western mentality any longer.

I came to Thailand...

To conclude:

Music is not a game to me.

Being an artist, which I've been trying to be for 40 years, is something sacred to me and must be paid for. With my life if need be.

Like all children of Jews or Armenians, my grandparents left me only 2 choices in life: artist or journalist. Unfortunately, yet another thing that Westerners have destroyed.

The only way to try and change this world.

Being old now, I do my best to help young artists and people interested in music.

PS

You need me to review an App, just ask.

There's a Facebook group iOS Music Info and a hotline.

There's also a hotline for Professionals. (Contact me)

Also:

I work for Asian Production Services as a Video and Photo Editor, Sound Engineer and Composer.

My advice:

Work fast, work dirty and be honest.

My best

Ed

I never keep things from the past, no photos, videos, audio, nothing, and change my name with each album I produce, make or compose, so it's not easy to show you things, especially since in my "golden age" there was no Internet.
